The broadband atlas shows the broadband network coverage situation in Switzerland. The maps provide information on both fixed network connections and the availability of mobile communication networks.
The broadband atlas is an interactive application composed of 18 maps: 14 describe fixed network coverage and 4 describe the coverage of mobile communication networks.
The fixed network maps provide information on upload and download speeds, the types of connections available (copper, coaxial cable, fibre), as well as the active providers in the displayed area. The information is published in aggregate form in grids with a resolution of 250 m x 250 m.
Mobile communication networks are represented by four maps showing the expected availability of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks for each 100 m x 100 m grid.
The participation of network operators in the broadband atlas is voluntary. Service providers who did not provide data are not featured on the maps. Participating service providers are responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide to OFCOM.
